I currently serve in the role of Principal SRE for NuORDER by Lightspeed where I am engaged in operating and maintaining mission critical cloud infrastructure, leading projects such as an Envoy Gateway implementation of the Kubernetes Gateway API, and providing technical leadership to SRE and Product Engineering teams.

Prior to joining NuORDER, I filled various engineering and leadership roles at Digital eCommerce Agencies serving merchants in the Adobe Commerce and Magento B2C and B2B online retail space, primarily focused on software, infrastructure, security, and systems integration projects.

Infrastructure as code, immutable design patterns, automation and highly-available system architecture are passions of mine, having experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, Packer, AWS, Google Cloud and Kubernetes as well as highly-available dedicated bare-metal clusters.

On the personal side, I enjoy exploring just about any form of new technology, occasionally building something just for the sake of the challenge, and learning anything related to building automated systems and DevOps. When time allows for it, I am often found contributing to open-source software. Things I love include spending time with my family, involving myself in the tech conference scene, exploring the great outdoors, hiking, cycling, and running.

The direction of my professional career began taking shape at the age of 11 when I started learning the C/C++ languages, using them to develop a handful of desktop software applications, an experience which ultimately got me hooked on tech. Following the completion of high school, my efforts shifted towards web focused technology in the online retail space, taking on a strong infrastructure and DevOps engineering focus circa 2015.

My expertise with software languages is centered largely around PHP, C/C++, Rust, Go, NodeJS, Python, and Bash with varying levels of proficiency.
